How To Create Photo Displays With Magnets

Looking to display those precious memories, but do not want to hammer into your walls and furniture? Well we have the perfect solution for you, all with the help of magnets! Below, we will demonstrate how to create magnetic photo frames and apply them to your walls to create beautiful displays that can be updated and re-arranged instantly.

To start, we are going to create a magnetic fixing point against your wall. For this, you will need a circular disc magnet with a self-adhesive backing, like the ND20015NA-LM-4. Please note, either a north or south polarity disc will work for this application. Once you have purchased these, peel away the sticker on the back and apply the magnet to the wall in your desired location. Please note, using self-adhesive is a much more permanent fitting and cannot be taken off easily. If you do want to take them off, due to the self-adhesive, it may pull away paint or wallpaper from the wall, however, once in place and has cured for at least 24 hours, you will have a strong fixing point for your photo frames.

At this stage, you are ready to make your frames attractive! This time, you will need an
MS2002A Steel Disc with self-adhesive that you will apply to the back of your frames like so…

Once this has cured over a minimum of 24 hours, you will be able to apply your frame to your magnetic fixing point. The Neodymium magnet will attract the steel disc to the wall and hold it in place to show off your photo display!

Alternatively, you could create your own photo display with some magnets and some chicken wire! With pillars or some strong scissors cut the chicken wire to your acquired size. Use the measurements to mark on your wall where you would like the fixture point to be for the chicken wire. Then with our ND2502NA-LM magnets, peel and stick them on your markings. We always advise to leave the adhesive to cure for 24-32 hours before using. Next, place the chicken wire up against the fixture points to secure into place. Finally, with some of our F321SC-50 , simply place the photos up to the wire and use the magnet to pin the photo into place. For an added touch why not thread some fairy lights through the wire to create a more eye-catching display!
